Eleanor J. Lopez offered the "Humor Me" workshop as a Luncheon Speaker
We Copied the following off her website and it does sum up what her delightful talk was all about.
Give yourself a break and a laugh as you learn to manage the stress in your life - on the job or off.
What's so funny? (Why you NEED this seminar)
In our wired world, we are increasingly influenced by situations in which we feel we have little or no control. Mergers that merge us right out of a job. Family life and all its not-in-the-manual challenges. Schedules squeezed to the max. A stock market ride requiring a dose of Dramamine. World events that add to our already stressful lives. Even a darling newborn who refuses to "sleep like a baby" for months on end. All this and more can bump our every-day-stress quotient over the edge. Not to mention catastrophic health or wealth challenges impacting all of the above and then some!
What's so funny? Plenty!
Humor Me! is a fact-filled lighthearted stress management workshop that teaches you some serious stuff about the benefits of yucking it up. You'll see how humor can help you regain your perspective and take back control of your day-to-day life.
You'll learn to embrace humor as an essential tool in managing the every-day stress of work, family and community commitments. You'll even learn how a well-placed laugh can help you lead a healthier life and become more effective as a professional, a parent and a life-affirming person.
Take a Humor Break (less caffeine and much more fun!)
By practicing the principles and insights that Humor Me! teaches, you'll be taking more "humor breaks" to maintain an even keel. And by improving your response to life's everyday stressors you will become better equipped to handle the big stressors each of us inevitably faces at one time or another. In fact, several clinical studies have shown that even patients who are being treated for a life-threatening illness have used humor to successfully ease the effects of treatment and boost their body's own immune response. http://www.eleanorlopez.com Eleanor Lopez P.O.Box 917 Dennis, MA 02638 - phone 508/385-8613
