A career as a Funeral Service Professional

>^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^<>^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^<

Your first step to a career in funeral service before you invest any of your time or money in education: is to get a job, even if it is part time, get some seasoning as to what funeral service is all about.  There seems to be an overage of Funeral Service Professionals, and many have invested years of their life training for a job that does not and will never exist.  Getting your foot in the door in funeral service is not easy, getting a seat once in that door is for only a few. Feel free to joing us any Sunday Night in America On Line's funeral professional chat room. If you want to get a taste for a job in funeral service, locate a copy of my friend Alexandra's book, she explains in detail the road that is ahead of you   Your ultimate goal should be to own your own Funeral business, so while you are looking for your first funeral service job, be sure to take some business management studies, business knowledge can be used in any career.

If I needed a Job in Funeral Service this is what I would do to get one, create a spread sheet, online go to your local newspaper and now track how many funeral homes you have in your area and now paste the name of the deceased under each of your area funeral homes, with in 60 days you will have a pretty good idea who is doing a goodly enough number of funerals to need a funeral staff.   Now get your self your nicest outfit in mind, take a ride by your area funeral homes see how the employees dress, some day soon (between 11AM and 1PM) : dressed as nicely as you see the staff, you go to the funeral home and ask to fill out a job application and ask for a tour of the funeral home during your tour is your best opportunity to present youself to the staff that you meet, when you are done your tour ask for the job, you will probably get a no or we don't have any openings or maybe we will think about it and give you a call, this all sone you call them every week and see if you can get in there part time or full time, just keep calling always with kindness and you might just get your foot in the door there.

Good Luck!
